I didn’t exactly plan it this way, but 2015 has already turned into a quite a busy traveling year for me! I have a few trips confirmed and four more down the pipeline, and I can’t wait to utilize this blog and my Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, and other social media profiles to share the experience with everyone.

Here are the trips that are confirmed so far:

  • January: NAIAS with Ford in Detroit
  • March: SXSWi in Austin, SEJ Summit in Dallas
  • April: The Greek Isles: Santorini, Athens, and Mykonos
  • July: Comic Con in San Diego
  • October: Pubcon in Las Vegas

Search Engine Journal also announced The SEJ Summit last month, which is a conference tour with Searchmetrics. We are heading to Miami, NYC, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, and London. I am tentatively going to 3 or 4 of the events to be the MC (master of ceremonies) and I couldn’t be more elated.

I tentatively know which ones, but its all under wraps for now until we get all the details set. As MC, I’ll lead panels, open and close the event, and introduce each speaker. I’m so excited for the opportunity, as it means I’ll get several chances to practice and improve my public speaking skills, which was a goal of mine for 2015.

I traveled a ton this year as well, going to:

Chicago, IL

Chicago with my mom!

I remember growing up, the first time I rode on a plane alone I was in 7th grade and I met my aunt at Disneyland. Since then, I’ve loved getting on a plane because it usually means I get to go somewhere awesome. It used to be a lot of scrimping and saving to be able to go on one trip on a plane per year, so to be able to go multiple places for conferences and other fun events is really a dream come true.
