5 Ways To Stay Cool On Your Wedding Day
Between the butterflies, the buzzing group chat, and the slightly too early arrival of your great aunt Margaret, your wedding morning can feel like a whirlwind! But it is possible to feel calm, grounded, and totally in your moment. Here are five ways to keep cool, emotionally and literally on the big day.
1. Swim off the nerves
A morning dip might sound a little rogue, but hear us out… the water is magic. It’s the fastest way to reset your nervous system, shake off any jitters, and have a little moment to yourself before the madness begins. Whether it’s a cold plunge, a pool paddle or a splashy sea swim, pop on your favourite playlist and take 10 minutes to float, breathe, and get back in your body.
P.S. Our new white Bow Back Swimsuit is made for this kind of main character moment.
2. Get ready in something you actually like
You know the drill: there’ll be cameras, you’ll be moving around all morning, and you’ll want to feel comfortable but still bridal. Our new satin pyjamas tick all the boxes! Cool, soft, and ridiculously photogenic.
Whether it’s just you and your maid of honour or the full glam squad, trust us, these are worth it.
3. Don’t skip breakfast
It sounds obvious, but it’s the first thing to fall off the list. Choose something light but satisfying. Think protein, a bit of fruit, toast if you need grounding carbs. And if you can, sit down and eat it properly. No standing over the kitchen sink. This moment matters too.
Bonus tip: lay out your breakfast setup the night before. You’re not going to want to faff with plates on the morning of your wedding!
4. Create a pre-ceremony switch-off outfit
Once glam is done and dusted and the venue’s nearly ready, there’s that little in between moment before the dress goes on. It’s golden, and worth dressing for! A soft, floaty white mini or maxi robe that lets you breathe is perfect here. Something you can take a few deep breaths in, do a final walk-through, or even sneak outside for a minute of stillness.
Our new bridal capsule has two that we love for this: elegant, effortless, and still very bridal.
5. Schedule a pause
The day will go fast. So fast. Build in five minutes where you can be alone. Or with your person. Or with someone who brings you back to yourself. A moment to look around, feel what you’re feeling, and breathe! That’s the kind of memory that stays with you.
Whether you’re splashing into the morning, dancing around in your PJs, or sipping champagne in a satin mini, you deserve to feel like you on your wedding day.
